What's the Code Redhead Project all about?

For the rest of the week, we are thrilled to have author J.M. Maurer, talking about an exciting project which will be released in February, 2017.

She started working as a registered nurse in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit where she cared for critically ill children, transported them from outlying hospitals, and even picked up overtime hours treating patients of all ages while inside a hyperbaric chamber. Holding a Bachelor’s degree in nursing, she loves to write about strong characters and their struggles in life. Her books explore themes of revenge, redemption, and hope along with the intrigue of true love, sex, and marriage.

When not writing, you can find her spending time with family and friends, exploring the outdoors, or attempting most any sport. She resides in Chicago with her husband and son.

We’ll let her tell us about this project she’s involved in.
Hello! I’m J.M. Maurer and I’m thrilled to be here. I’m also excited to tell you that sixteen of your favorite Best-Selling authors have come together to be part of a fundraising project called Code Redhead – A Serial Novel.

What is this project all about? From beginning to end, the Code Redhead project has been overseen by the awesome Sharon Kleve. For the project, each writer used their own interpretation of the title ‘Code Redhead’ to create their own story. Put them all together and there's a story to satisfy and entertain most every reader.
To give back, Books To Go Now will be donating the proceeds from the sale of the novel to the Children’s Cancer Research Fund, which invests in lifesaving, leading-edge research in the prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and cure of childhood cancer and blood-related disorders. FMI on this important project, go to:

Why is this project so important to you? Having worked for many years in the Pediatric ICU, I’ve seen far too many children undergo treatments for their cancer. Thankfully, the Children’s Cancer Research Fund works every day to fund research in search of a cure. You can make a difference by purchasing a copy of the Code Redhead Project.

  1. Many thanks for helping us spread the word about the Code Redhead project. <3

  2. GREAT project!
Good luck and God's blessings to everyone involved

    1. Thanks, Pam. Appreciate you stopping by!

    2. Hi, Pam
I'm a bit late coming to the party. Thanks for stopping by with support for J.M. and this valuable resource for ill children and their loved ones.

  3. This is a wonderful thing y'all are doing. And thank you so much for the work you've done. Plus, the story sounds great! Good luck to you!

    1. Hi, Kara
thanks so much for stopping by in support of J.M. and this important charity.

  4. What a wonderful project and I wish all of you authors much success in your writing as well with this fantastic cause. God bless all of you. All of these stories sound great and I look forward to reading these--just put it on my tbr list. As a retired nurse I've written a few full length historical romances to raise awareness of a medical issue (ALS) and another as a tribute to Social and Protective services. It's so rewarding as an author to know you might have made a difference somehow, some way. I'll spread the word on Code Red and the Project. Thank you all.

    1. Hi, Bev
been there and done that, eh?
Thanks for the support for J.M. as well as pediatric cancer research. We appriciate it.

  5. I wish I wrote faster so I could have participated! But I will definitely buy the book. I almost lost a grandchild to e-coli, so I know what it's like to sit in ICU and watch a baby you love fight for his life, feed him through a tube, etc. I can't imagine what it's like watching your child go through chemo. Or being a nurse in PICU and not getting attached. Take care, my friend. Hi, Kat and Val. Hugs, Rochelle.
